Excerpt from Minister Yelich’s speech for CTV Saskatoon Citizen of the Year Print E-mail
Monday, 08 March 2010

Saskatoon- Behind the scenes, Al Anderson has been working tirelessly for our citizens who otherwise might not be able to get what they need themselves. As a founding member of the Kinsmen Elmwood Lodge, he has been instrumental in so many ways for fostering an environment that includes individuals with disabilities and has served as board member and volunteer for so many organizations here in Saskatoon that it is hard to keep track of them all.

Al, your community is very proud of you! You are an extremely worthy honouree for today’s award and all of Saskatoon is glad that Annaliese had the sense to put your name forward. Maybe in another 20 or 30 years, people will be up here presenting an award to her!!

Congratulations Al! You are one of Saskatoon’s very best and this year is your year.
